project review

Community input will help select the first public project for a documented records review.

The first poll is in preparation. Voting will be for verified residents of Texas House District 7. You can suggest a project now through the contact form.

This is a privately operated project of Ryan Nichols for Texas. It is not an official Texas House office or an emergency reporting service.

The proposed sequence

  1. Nominate a project

Identify a public road, bridge, purchase or contract. Give the location or contract number, the question to answer, relevant dates and public-source links. Firsthand observations will be kept distinct from information reported by someone else.

  2. Check the shortlist

Confirm the project and responsible government body, combine duplicate nominations and check that there is a practical records-review question. The selection criteria and reasons for exclusions will be explained.

  3. Run the priority poll

Publish the eligible shortlist with the same factual fields for each option. Explain who may participate, how eligibility is checked, the voting window and tie rules before voting opens.

  4. Visit the project and review the records

For the selected project, Ryan plans to visit the site and speak with people familiar with it. Where relevant, the review will compare the original contract, approved changes, invoices, payments and delivery records. Missing documents and inconsistencies are questions to investigate. Seek explanations and independently check material findings.

  5. Report supported results

Post a video report on the project’s poll page, alongside the results, sources, unanswered questions and corrections. A proposed correction, a completed action and a measured result will be reported separately.

Participation and privacy

Project details and private eligibility information will be handled separately. Participation will not automatically enroll anyone in campaign emails, texts or fundraising.

Contact confirmation, a submitted address matching the district and a residency statement are different checks. The final method and its limits will be explained before participation opens.

Keep identity documents, home addresses and other sensitive information out of the contact form. Read the privacy notice.

How results will be described

An open, voluntary poll represents the people who participate. Eligibility checks do not make it a representative survey of everyone in HD7.

Any results will include the questions, collection dates, participation counts, eligibility method, exclusions and limitations. No project has been selected through this process yet.
